OVERVIEW

On this tour you will see the highest navigable lake in the World which at the same time was the sacred lake of the Andean World, that is all the cultures from Tiwanaku at the very beginning until the last empire, the Incas.

We are the only operator that will offer you this tour well organised on wich you will be able to visit Moon island, the South part and hike from the South to the North of Sun Island.

The tour is available from La Paz or from Copacabana, for those who are already in Copacabana.

Definitely a great way to see lake Titicaca and the Islands.

PROGRAMME

1^st day .-

06:30 a.m. We will pick you up from your hotel. If your hotel is not in the centre, then pick up will be 30 min before. We will take you to the Bus stop and get on a Public bus or public minibus heading to Copacabana.

The trip takes 3.5 hrs and we will be arriving around 10:30

Walking tour of Copacabana including the Cathedral of the Virgen Morena.

11:30 – 12:00 car to the point of the peninsula called Yampupata. (45 min)

13:00 Boat to Moon Island . (40 min)

1.5 hrs walk around Moon Island

Lunch.

15:30 Boat to Sun Island (1hr)

16:30 visit  Temple of the Sun, Inca stairs, fountain of the Youth, Sacred View point.

2^nd day

07:00 Breakfast

08:00 Start the hike to the North part. 3 hrs

11:00 Visit the creation rock, the Inca labyrinth

12:30 Lunch

13:30 Boat to Yampupata 1hr

14:30 Car to Copacabana

15:30 Arrive in Copa.

16:30 Bus or minibus to La Paz

20:00 Arrive in La Paz

20:30 Drop off at hotel.
