Tiwanaku Ruins (1/2 day)

Half a day for the oldest Culture in South America. Tiwanaku people did not know about envy, being selfish and even less war. They were a culture dedicated to agriculture, engineering, astronomy, medicine. It was the Tiwanakans that in the 10th century changed their name to Incas. The ruins visible are only 25% of what is underneath.

Programme

1st day.- 08:00 to 08:30 Pick up from your Hotel. This transport takes you through El Alto ‘South America’s Youngest biggest City’ to then drive into the Altiplano. After an hour will stop at a View Point for you to admire our finest Altiplano scenery.
10:00 Arrival in Tiwanaku Village. Here you will visit the Museum for about 1 hr.
11:00 Visit to the ruins of Tiwanaku. (1 hrs)
12:15 Free time for lunch’ or walk around the village
14:00 Drive back to La Paz
15:30 Arrival’ in La Paz. You get dropped off at’ San Francisco Church.
