PELECHUCO / APOLO
Unspoiled Jungle Trek – 11 days/10 nights
IF THERE’S A TREK THAT IS COMPLETELY DIVERSE…. THIS IS THE ONE
We start high up in the mountains of the beautiful Apolobamba Range that is the first range of the Bolivian Andes.
On the first day we go by public transport from La Paz to Pelechuco and spend the night there. Next day we start one of the most exhilarating treks in Bolivia. We walk most of the time in Madidi National Park from the Mountains of the Park to its Rainforest. It is almost for sure that we will need some “Machete hacking” to clear up the overgrown sections of the route.
Those who are real trekkers can continue another extra 10 days in the Rainforest heading to the heart of Madidi National Park or take our Trek & Jungle Rafting 10 day programme to finally end in Rurrenabaque.
Come with us, check it out!

The trail sometimes passes through thick Jungle and several times you will have to walk over logs to make easier the walk in wet conditions along the path. You will get to see the Village called Moxos known to be one of the most peaceful points on earth and the beginning of Tuichi River: the mythical wildest river on earth. Bugs and mosquitoes, beautiful butterflies.. Sometimes we have to wait even an hour to have the path cleared up. Some communities will be seen and we will be able to try seasonal fruits.
